If you’ve come to this page, you evidently want to know a little bit more about me.  Hmm… ok… here goes…

Professional:

I’ve been involved in the world of software development in one way or another for over 20 years, now. Most of this time I’ve worked on large scale financial, sales/marketing/crm, and supply chain software systems. I’ve also worked in warehousing and logistics software development for many years – which is still one of my great interests/passions.

However, today I currently run various affiliate and content sites mostly in niche markets and b2b markets.  I do quite a bit of my own site design and development, as that is one of the things that still gives me great satisfaction.  I mostly fell into this business out of my frustration with wanting to be “home” for my family rather than living on the road as a high paid consultant.  My kids were entering an important phase in their lives, and I just felt that it was/is important for me to be “here” for them, rather than gosh knows where via the phone or IM.  And unfortunately, businesses still just don’t “get it” and realize that you can measure a person’s productivity and contribution to the bottom line by the results they produce, not by their physical presence in a chair.  So I gave up on them… and made a “Life Style Choice”.

I spend a huge amount of time online in one way or another.  I am truly addicted to being online.  I am usually Twittering, on Messenger, Windows Live, or Facebook.  You will also find me constantly checking my sites, my site stats, etc.  I’m obsessed.  You will also find me lurking around and posting to various forums.

Personal:

I’m a wife to a wonderful guy who’s put up with me and my craziness for 25 years now.  The man really is a saint!  I don’t know how he does it sometimes.  We have two fabulous kids that we’re extremely proud of and take every chance I can to brag about.  A daughter in high school and a son in college.  I’m also a human companion to 3 cats that keep me company all day long when everyone else is off being busy with work and school.

I enjoy camping with extended family and during the spring,summer,fall months you will find that most weekends we are “gone camping”.  We have done this as a family since my son was 2 months old.

We also enjoy soccer, volleyball, and just spending time with family.  We believe family is important, and it’s why we moved back to our hometown to raise our family.  We wanted our kids to get to know their extended family and know they are a part of something bigger.
